GEARHEADS AWARD WAVEPOINT!

GuitarGearHeads.com reviewed the AXL Wavepoint and gave it an "Approved Gearhead" award for 2006.

Daniel Halberg says, "These EMG-designed humbuckers could throw out some serious tone. Despite it’s razor wire looks, the guitar was actually pretty versatile and held it’s own across a number of musical styles – including blues and classic rock. However, it is most at home when playing chunky, distorted nastiness."

GOLD AWARD FROM GUITAR WORLD!

READ THE REVIEW!

The May 2006 issue of Guitar World reviews the Jacknife and FireAx Mayhem guitars and gives them a gold award for overall value.

Eric Kirkland says, "These original and exciting new axes combine hot shapes, incredible tone and serious playability, and cost less than a boutique overdrive pedal."

Gold Award

On the Jacknife: "Each chord sounded with a crunch that ripped through the room like a rocket's thruster. Downstrocking through rapid-fire riffs helped me achieve one of the most authentic Metallica-style rhythm tones I've managed on any guitar."

On the FireAx: "For players that need maximum flexibility, the FireAx is certainly a good choice . . . the tones were nothing short of inspiring."

MAYHEM JACKNIFE IN GUITAR PLAYER!

The May 2006 issue of Guitar Player reviews the Jacknife for a special on "20 Budget Solidbodies."

The Guitar Player staff says, "Looking a bit like Flying V that was given a makeover by medieval armorers, the Jacknife sports decent fretwork, a good setup, and feels surprisingly light and nimble for a guitar of its proportions. It's a good sounding guitar, too, with a voice that's as fat and squawky as you'd expect from a slab-bodied P-90 ax."

GUITAR BUYER MAGAZINE REVIEWS MAYHEM SERIES

The U.K.-based Guitar Buyer Magazine reviewed the AXL Mayhem Series in the February 2006 issue.

They give the FireAx 4/5 picks: "Most impressive of all, though, is the amount of clarity that the tones retain with extreme levels of overdrive. You really get the impression that these guitars have been designed from top to bottom to fulfill a credible metal role."

The Jacknife also gets 4/5 picks: "If you favor plenty of drive but have been wishing for more bite and definition in your riffs, you really should check out the tones from one of these impressive guitars."
